Creative Work is Structured Into Simple Steps

Each assignment consists of three phases:

Submission: Students complete a creative task and turn in their work. Mobius SLIP automatically redistributes Submissions to anonymous peers. The group size and the group allocation pattern are set by the instructor.

Review: Each student reviews Submissions of several anonymous peers and

  • writes comments/critiques to peers indicating their Submissions’ strengths, weaknesses and offering recommendations;
  • writes a self-reflection, and
  • benchmarks Submissions using the SLIP Slider.

Instructor provides criteria and rubrics for evaluating and benchmarking Submissions.

Reaction: Each student receives several anonymous peers’ Reviews and uses the SLIP Slider to evaluate thoughtfulness, helpfulness and professionalism of peers’ and own critiques. Instructor provides criteria and rubrics for evaluating and benchmarking Reviews.

After the assignment is completed, learning analytics are presented to both instructors and students. Mobius SLIP helps instructors to diagnose student performance along several dimensions and to give targeted guidance to students.
